A paradise for hikers and mountaineers
From the campsite, you can hike directly into the surrounding mountains of the Kreuzeck Group and the foothills of the Gailtal Alps. The gentle hilltops of the Upper Carinthian mountains invite you to linger, and numerous mountain huts cater to your culinary needs. Hiking trails of varying difficulty levels offer variety and enjoyment. Every season has its own unique beauty – you'll see!
Enjoyment of lakes and rivers
For a quick dip, there's a pool right at the campsite. A small bathing lake is also nearby, close to Greifenburg. For more extensive swimming or water sports experiences, we recommend Lake Weissensee, the highest lake in the Alps, with its turquoise and white shores.
The Drava River is also a wonderful place to cool off and try out different types of boats, even an old raft...
Cycling in every season and at any age
The Drau cycle path R1 passes in the immediate vicinity, making everything possible from short family bike rides to extended day trips to the Dolomite town of Lienz or to the lakes of Upper Carinthia (Lake Millstatt, Lake Feld or Lake Afritz).
For very sporty campers, the surrounding mountains offer trails and mountain bike routes.
From archery to paragliding
The nearby archery park offers fun for the whole family. Many children also enjoy collecting fossils along the Drava River. How about a paragliding flight from the Emberger Alm or a round of golf on the 9-hole course in Berg? The model aircraft club in Greifenburg is also happy to make its field available.
Inspired by the diverse impressions of nature, local artist Ernst Huber created objects from stone, wood, and metal along the Mautbach stream. Reflect and let the interplay of nature and art work its magic on you. The water adventure trail along the Gnoppnitzbach stream above Greifenburg is one of Upper Carinthia's most varied hiking trails. Enjoy the unspoiled nature!
